Which Step Style Should I Choose?
At UV Pools in Winnipeg, we recommend two styles of steps, and we are happy to discuss your needs with you to help you choose which one is right for you.
Take a look at the pictures below. In the middle, you’ll see fiberglass-style walk-in steps, which are an extension to your pool. Fiberglass steps are nice because they don’t take up room in your pool’s shallow end.
In the picture to the left, are vinyl-over steps, which go inside your pool and are then covered by the vinyl liner. Vinyl-over steps have an attractive, clean appearance that blends in with the rest of your pool, making them less noticeable.
Can I Customize My Steps?
In addition to choosing your style, you also have the opportunity to select from a range of colours, shapes, and sizes. Sizes of pool steps range from four feet to ten feet, and you can choose from grey, blue, white, or black to complement your pool area décor.
Regardless of whether your pool walls are straight or curved, we can add steps that will fit perfectly. Vinyl-over steps, in particular, come in a number of shapes and sizes, and you can choose from corner steps, wedding cake steps, and steps that go all the way across your shallow end. Will Adding Steps To My Pool Be Complicated?
Not when you trust us to do all the work! The first step in the process is removal of the concrete and the section of your pool wall where the new steps will go. Then, we install your steps. Once the steps are installed, we pour new concrete around the steps.
If you’re using vinyl-over steps, we drop them in place and set them to the correct height. We then take measurements, and your new liner is made to precisely fit the new steps.
What If My Steps Get Damaged?
No problem. We can repair fiberglass and acrylic staircases to stop leaks or fix cracks and bubbles. Vinyl-over steps can even be repaired under the water!
How Much Does It Cost To Add Pool Steps?
Your cost will vary quite a bit depending on the style and size of your steps. For a standard six-foot walk-in staircase, you can expect the price to start at about $5500.
