Pool liner falling down

When your pool liner falls out of the pool coping it is best to pull it back into place as soon as possible. The best way is to use boiling water and to pull it back into place. The gap between the coping liner receiver where the liner fits in, should be closed up with something such as popsicle stick or anything else that will take up the gap. We use a rubber strip called liner lock and that works very well. Having this problem with your liner should be fixed asap because it can rapidly get worse without warning. Dirty neglected swimming pool before renovation

Lets face it, this pool needs alot of work. It has not been taken care of for years and filling it in may be the best option. When there is a underwater ecosystem that is surviving in your pool it is a sure sign that you pool has not been in use for many years. This pool is a misquito breeding pond and a eye sore.  The pool liner is shredded, torn and the coping needs replacing. The pool walls are also shifting and it is likely that the pool has leaks and parts are damaged from being left to freeze over winter. Sad to see and a decision should be made to fix or fill in. Rusted Pool Walls and leaking skimmer

rusted pool walls and cracked skimmer

Leaks that are by your steel pool wall or skimmer are noticible when the liner is removed. This particular pool has been leaking for years. The steel pool walls are galvanized and do not rust on their own. Chlorinated water or salt water are what eats through the galvanizing causing these rusted sections. The skimmer faceplate was likely the culprit and could have been a leaky gasket or overtightened or stripped skimmer screws. These can be fixed but it is best to consult a pool professional for an onsite inspection. Slope, Slide and pool floor washout

Sat, 06/04/2011 - 22:01 -- Dale Kreviazuk
Pool floor washout

Pool leaks left for extended periods of time can wash out the sand backfill material and result in wash out under the pool walls. This can also cause the deep end slopes to slide down and the pool eventually starts to cave in. The walls buckle and the coping starts to seperate from the concrete pool deck. When pool water is lost for unknown reasons, it is best to have them checked out as soon as possible. Leaving such problems results in rusted pool panels, broken pipes over winter, pushed in walls, unlevel pool, heaving, rusted steel pool panels, and broken skimmers and jets.
